We replaced the pair of 7 year old Kenwood "12 Subs that have served well in thier day with a pair of Kicker 12" Solo-baric L5's.
About
Kicker's Solo-Baric L5 S12L5 12" woofer squares off with heavyweight performance! The square copolymer cone and durable Santoprene rubber surround are housed in a rugged steel basket for skull-shattering bass. The Inverted Structural Dome (a Kicker exclusive) replaces the conventional dustcap, so the cone maintains its structural integrity at punishing sound pressure levels.
Perimeter venting keeps air flowing over the voice coils for cool operation and lower distortion. Wire the voice coils in parallel (2 ohms) for high output or in series (8 ohms) for multiple woofer configurations. Kicker's aggressively styled grille (optional) adds attitude to your installation.
Note: If you are wiring this DVC sub for lower impedance, make sure that your amp is compatible. Most car amplifiers are stable down to 2 ohms in standard mode, or 4 ohms in bridged operation.
